Job summary

Morrisons is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a large, busy store and drive a customer-centric shopping experience. You’ll report to the Regional Manager and manage up to 350 colleagues, delivering strong commercial performance while upholding high standards across operations.

You will spend time on the shop floor, coach your team, and ensure foodmaker credentials shine. We value development, coaching, and a collaborative leadership style focused on wellbeing and growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a large, fast-paced team within food retail.
• Leads through coaching, giving meaningful feedback and building real trust across the store.
• Strong retail operational knowledge and a genuine passion for food retail and Market Street.
• Knows how to analyse store performance data, act on feedback, and make sound commercial decisions.
• Brings a collaborative, adaptable leadership style, taking an active interest in team development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Set the culture: Create an inclusive, high-performing environment where colleagues feel supported, valued, and listened to.
• Lead from the front: Coach your team on the shop floor and across Market Street, keeping standards high and showcasing foodmaker credentials.
• Develop future talent: Build succession plans by mentoring and developing management capabilities.
• Drive sales and standards: Keep the store safe, legal, and well-stocked while monitoring costs and opportunities.
• Connect with the community: Partner with local areas to empower Community Champions and tailor the store locally.
