Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train staff in a retail store.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, selection and retention of staff to ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, evaluations and counseling; address performance gaps, up to termination.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance, safety, and policy expectations; lead staff meetings.
• Open and close the store as required, two times weekly minimum.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends and opportunities for cost control.
• Order and stock to meet in-stock targets; review weekly inventory plans.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing and signage across the floor.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and security; manage cash controls and receipts.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership and maintain a clean, safe store.
• Comply with SOPs, policies, and documentation deadlines.
