Job summary

Asda Armadale is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day trading, lead multiple departments, and ensure stores run safely, legally, and to high standards. You will translate store priorities into actions on the shop floor and manage key performance metrics.

You will champion excellence in customer service, coach teams, control stock and shrink, and support the Store Manager in delivering a brilliant shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager in a grocery retail environment.
• Operational knowledge across food and non-food departments.
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership.
• Good understanding HR policies and processes, including ER cases.
• Strong organisational skills and customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the trading activity on the shopfloor to deliver availability and key metrics.
• Engage and coach leadership teams to maintain high shopfloor standards.
• Drive the shrink agenda and implement actions with the Store Manager.
• Support development of the team and create a valued, motivated environment.
