Job summary

JD Sports in Maidstone is looking for a Store Colleague to help deliver an outstanding customer experience every day. You will greet shoppers with confidence, keep fixtures looking sharp, replenish stock and maintain presentation standards across the shop floor.

In a fast-paced retail environment, you’ll use friendly communication to identify customer needs, recommend products, process transactions and assist with deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing retail is preferred.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different customers.
• Willingness to learn and follow company processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive and welcoming experience for customers, providing support and product information where required.
• Responsible for achieving team sales objectives by identifying customer needs, recommending suitable products, and promoting complementary items.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Maintain high standards of presentation across the shop floor, ensuring fixtures, displays, and stock areas are clean, organised, and well maintained.
• Replenish stock and ensure products are available and correctly displayed in line with company standards.
• Complete operational tasks including processing transactions, cash handling, stock processing, and preparing deliveries.
• Use in-store technology and systems to support customer enquiries and daily store operations.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day running of the store.
• Support with additional duties and tasks, as reasonably required.
