Job summary

Aston & Fincher Ltd is seeking a Store Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products, support the store team, and drive sales growth. You will handle stock, pricing, and merchandising while delivering high-quality customer service.

The role includes picking orders, serving customers, maintaining clean shelves, using the till, and assisting with deliveries and stock transfers in a busy retail environment. Competitive pay and employee benefits are provided.

• Proven experience as a Store Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick customers order.
• Ensure all products are clean and correctly priced.
• Stock is put out on shelf to company procedures.
• Count stock accurately.
• Use of till / Retailer.
• Pack all orders in-line with the company procedures.
• Assist and arrange for items to be dispatched.
• Answering the phone.
• Invoicing of orders through our till system.
• Keep up to date with all promotional activity.
• Merchandising within the company guidelines.
• Build on customer telephone orders.
• Assist with deliveries of stock coming into store.
• Transfer stock in / out to stores/suppliers.
• To help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• To make deliveries to salons within your area when necessary.
• Maintain a fully stocked store.
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
• Welcome and greet customers.
• Actively involve in the receiving of new shipments.
• Keep up to date with product information.
• Accurately describe product features and benefits.
• Follow all companies’ policies and procedures.
