Job summary

Aston & Fincher Ltd, based in Birmingham, is seeking a Store Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products and to support the store team to ensure smooth operation in line with company procedures.

You will be responsible for selling, restocking and merchandising, keeping shelves stocked, packing orders, answering the phone and delivering excellent customer service to drive growth. 39 hours per week with a 12.71 per hour rate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Store Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.

Responsibilities

• Pick customers order
• Ensure all products are clean and correctly priced
• Stock is put out on shelf to company procedures
• Count stock accurately
• Use of till / Retailer
• Pack all orders in-line with the company procedures
• Assist and arrange for items to be dispatched
• Answering the phone
• Invoicing of orders through our till system
• Keep up to date with all promotional activityMerchandising within the company guidelines
• Build on customer telephone orders
• Assist with deliveries of stock coming into store
• Transfer stock in/out to stores/suppliers
• To help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues
• To make deliveries to salons within your area when necessary
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
• Maintain a fully stocked store
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
• Welcome and greet customers
• Actively involve in the receiving of new shipments
• Keep up to date with product information
