Job summary

LA International invites a senior Storage Engineer to join a team delivering managed services and project work. You will support Fujitsu, HP, Dell, NetApp and Brocade storage environments across live, development and test environments, and handle migrations and transformations, with some out-of-hours work.

The role emphasizes storage expertise, incident/change management ITIL awareness, and proactive workload handling as part of a global talent and security-focused organization.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' implementing, migrating to/from, and supporting (2nd-3rd line) storage devices.
• Good knowledge of file and block storage technologies.
• Experience with Dell EMC storage and Unisphere.
• Knowledge of Brocade SAN Switches and SanNav.
• Experience with NetApp and HP storage devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide storage support across Live, Development and Test environments.
• Lead migration/transformation projects, including out-of-hours work.
• Participate in incident and change management activities.

Storage Engineer
Location: Remote with ad-hoc travel
Duration: 6 months initially
IR35 Status : Inside

This senior-level role sits within a Storage team responsible for the provision of Managed Service & Project activities.

The team provides support to the Storage devices on the Live, Development & Test environments as well as performing all Change & Project work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting multiple Storage technologies including Fujitsu, HP, Dell, NetApp & Brocade.

In addition there will be a considerable amount of migration / transformation Project work, some of which may be out of hours.

• At least 5-10 years' experience of implementing, migrating to/from & supporting (2nd to 3rd Line) storage devices.
• Good knowledge of file & block storage technologies
• Good knowledge of Dell EMC storage devices & Unisphere
• Good knowledge of Brocade SAN Switches & SanNav
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication.
• Have a proven problem solving ability.
• Proactive approach to personal workload management.
• Awareness of the ITIL Service Management framework and specifically incident and change management
• Use and support of Veritas NetBackup
• Good knowledge of NetApp & Hewlett Packard storage devices
• General knowledge of HBA configuration, Multipathing & general use of various server operating systems - Windows, Linux (RHEL & SLES), AIX and Solaris
