Job summary

Viqu Limited is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Storage) for a London-based hybrid role. You will manage day-to-day storage operations, incidents, and BAU tasks while contributing to improvements and project work across the estate.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Isilon DSM Shell, PowerShell automation, NAS migrations and major EMC storage products such as Unity, VPLEX, VXRail and CoShed/Commvault tooling. A strong professional approach is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Isilon DSM Shell scripting and storage administration.
• Proficient in PowerShell, REST APIs, and scripting for automation.
• Experience migrating NAS and managing enterprise storage estates.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day BAU tickets: incidents, work orders and problems.
• Support improvements and project work on a rotation basis.
• Attend morning operations meetings and report on SLA performance.
• Participate in weekly BAU ticket review meetings and ensure SLA delivery.
• Utilise automation to improve estate efficiency using PowerShell and scripts.

Infrastructure Engineer (Storage) - London - Hybrid - Inside IR35 - £500 - £600 per day

Core Tasks To Include:

Responsible for managing day to day operations working on BAU tickets including Incidents, Work Orders, Problems, BAU Improvements and projects work on a rotation basis. It will be primary focus for a period to gain understanding of the estate, including any support of the daily operational meetings and service management support around any service impacting tickets.

Technical Skills:

• Experience of supporting and scripting DSM Shell for Isilon
• Good knowledge and Experience of PowerShell Rest API tools, and programming scripts
• NAS migration experience.
• Pure Storage Administrator experience.
• The successful candidate will have a proven track record in administration within a highly professional environment.
• DELL EMC VPLEX experience
• DELL EMC Unity
• Commvault
• DELL EMC VXRail experience.
• Cisco MDS administration and configuration
• Cohesity Maintenance /Support
• Suparna (bespoke software which can be taught on site)
• They should be able to demonstrate a structured approach to work as well as being able to deal with people professionally at all levels.
• Look after morning cheeks and reporting to Operations Morning Meetings.
• Attend weekly meetings around BAU ticket management and resolve these in SLA.
• Automation Skills on PowerShell and scripting languages to enable us to manage the estate more efficient.
