Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment seeks an Infrastructure Engineer (Storage) in London. The role focuses on storage operations, incidents, and project work, with a hybrid pattern and Inside IR35.

You’ll support Isilon, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, and related tooling while liaising with operations to maintain service health. The ideal candidate will have hands-on admin experience with enterprise storage, scripting (PowerShell), and a collaborative approach across teams.

Qualifications

• Responsible for managing day-to-day operations on BAU tickets including incidents, work orders and problems.
• Rotation based focus to understand the estate and support daily operational meetings.
• Proven admin experience in a highly professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage BAU tickets, incidents, work orders, problems and improvements.
• Attend Operations Morning Meetings and weekly BAU ticket reviews.
• Provide reporting and SLA-focused support for service management.
• Develop automation with PowerShell and scripting to improve estate efficiency.

Job description

Infrastructure Engineer (Storage) - London - Hybrid - Inside IR35 - £500 - £600 per day

Core Tasks To Include:

Responsible for managing day to day operations working on BAU tickets including Incidents, Work Orders, Problems, BAU Improvements and projects work on a rotation basis. It will be primary focus for a period to gain understanding of the estate, including any support of the daily operational meetings and service management support around any service impacting tickets.

Technical Skills:

• Experience of supporting and scripting DSM Shell for Isilon
• Good knowledge and Experience of PowerShell Rest API tools, and programming scripts
• NAS migration experience.
• Pure Storage Administrator experience.
• The successful candidate will have a proven track record in administration within a highly professional environment.
• DELL EMC VPLEX experience
• DELL EMC Unity
• Commvault
• DELL EMC VXRail experience.
• Cisco MDS administration and configuration
• Cohesity Maintenance /Support
• Suparna (bespoke software which can be taught on site)
• They should be able to demonstrate a structured approach to work as well as being able to deal with people professionally at all levels.
• Look after morning cheeks and reporting to Operations Morning Meetings.
• Attend weekly meetings around BAU ticket management and resolve these in SLA.
• Automation Skills on PowerShell and scripting languages to enable us to manage the estate more efficient.
