Job summary

THG is seeking a Stock Room Supervisor in Manchester to oversee all back-of-house stock operations, ensuring efficient intake, storage, processing and replenishment to support product availability and customer service.

You will manage daily stockroom activities, drive inventory accuracy, and collaborate with store management to achieve commercial objectives. The role requires hands-on handling and flexibility for weekends and Bank Holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous retail stockroom, inventory or operations experience.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of stock control systems and retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely replenishment of the sales floor to maximise product availability and sales opportunities.
• Monitor stock loss, damages and discrepancies, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Maintain health and safety standards within the stockroom and delivery areas.
• Support stock takes, audits and inventory management processes.
• Work closely with the store management team to deliver operational excellence and commercial objectives.

Job description

The Stock Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house stock operations, ensuring inventory is received, stored, processed and replenished efficiently to support excellent product availability and customer service. This is a hands-on role that involves regular manual handling, including the safe lifting, carrying and movement of stock and delivery cartons weighing up to 20kg, in accordance with health and safety guidelines. As a Stockroom Supervisor, you'll:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the stockroom, ensuring it is organised, safe and compliant.
