Job summary

THG Beauty in Manchester is seeking a Senior Assistant Merchandiser to support stock management and KPI delivery. You will react to trade opportunities, provide reporting, and mentor junior team members while partnering with buying, marketing and trading colleagues to realise department strategy.

The role requires strong organisation, Excel skills, and a commercial mindset. You will analyse sales data, review stock health, and collaborate with suppliers and supply chain to resolve issues.

• Min 1-year experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• WSSI management to include risk mitigation and maximise opportunities.
• Special project management in conjunction with Merchandising Manager.
• Rebuys recommendations; review of under/overstocks with actions to maintain stock health.
• Analyse best/worst sellers and ensure consistent availability of top products.
• Support end-to-end critical path management and work with suppliers, supply chain and buyers to resolve issues.
• Escalate critical path opportunities or concerns to line manager.
• Attend brand meetings and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with buying, marketing and trading to realise department strategy.
• Support excel reporting and general housekeeping duties for the Merchandising team.
• Manage progression and development of Admin Assistant.
• Analyse sales data and trends to maintain high-valued products within target cover levels.

Why be a Senior Assistant Merchandiser at THG Beauty?

Reporting into the department Merchandising Manager, you will be instrumental in assisting in the management of intake and the stock profile of your department to support driving KPI's. You will be focused on reacting to trade to drive profit, improving efficiencies and providing reporting and analysis whilst mentoring junior members of the team.

As Senior Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for:

• WSSI management to include risk mitigation and maximise opportunities.
• Special project management in conjunction with Merchandising Manager.
• Recommends re buys as necessary, reviewing under and overstocks with suggested actions to maintain optimum stock health.
• Analyses best and worst sellers making informed recommendations for action. Ensuring best sellers reach their full potential with consistent availability.
• Supports the MA in managing the end to end critical path and helping to resolve inbound issues, liaising with suppliers, supply chain and buyers to problem solve
• Escalate and highlight critical path opportunities or concerns to line manager.
• Attending brand meetings when required and build strong influential relationships.
• Building collaborative working relationships with buying, marketing and trading counterparts to ensure department strategy is realised.
• Supporting the Merchandising Manager and Head of Merchandising with excel reporting and preparation, analysis, and overseeing general housekeeping duties.
• Managing the progression and development of the Admin Assistant.
• Proactively analyse sales data and trends to ensure high customer valued products are always available whilst working within target cover levels
