Job summary

THG Beauty in Manchester is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support end-to-end PO management, stock profiling, and critical path trade planning. You will work closely with suppliers and the buying team to optimise on-shelf availability and drive key KPI improvements.

You will analyse stock performance, prepare regular reports, and contribute ideas to merchandising strategies, while coaching junior colleagues and enhancing efficiency across the team.

Qualifications

• Organised and self-motivated with initiative.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills with Excel proficiency.
• Experience in MA/AM roles or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end to end purchase order management with focus on stock availability and on-time delivery.
• Resolve inbound issues with Supply and Warehouse teams; liaise with suppliers and buyers.
• Understand department trade and maximise bestsellers, driving critical path and stock health.
• Build and circulate regular reports; contribute to department trade and strategy.

Why be an Assistant Merchandiser at THG Beauty?

Reporting into the department Merchandiser, you will be assisting in the management of the intake and stock profile of your department through supporting the critical path process and problem solving to improve efficiencies. You will have a key focus on trade and use your knowledge to help drive department KPIs.

• Oversee end to end purchase order management with long term focus on reaching optimum on site stock availability; ensuring that all orders are on track for on time delivery with admin through maintenance of the team delivery schedule.
• Reviewing and resolving inbound issues with Supply and Warehouse teams; liaising with suppliers and buyers to resolve queries.
• Understand department trade and how to maximise bestsellers within their role
• Uses critical path influence and trading knowlegde to ensure brands and bestsellers reach their full potential
• Supports the clearanace of under performing stock
• Builds, refreshes and circulates regular and ad-hoc reports
• Contributes ideas for department trade and strategy
• Builds and maintains strong brand relationships in order to support critical path and business needs
• Independently stock manage a portfolio of brands / suppliers, carrying out weekly replen, attending brand calls and driving overall stock health.
• Works closely and collaboratively with buying counterpart
• Always looking for ways to improve ways of working and efficiencies on the team
• Supporting and coaching of junior members of staff

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

• Organised & self-motivated, works well on their own initiative yet is also seen as a key team player.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong IT skills – Excel experience is a must
• Relevant experience - strong MAA looking for next step or existing AM
