Job summary

The Co-operative Retail Logistics, Wincanton PLC, in St. Helens is seeking a Stock Support Assistant for a back shift role (2pm–10pm) on a 6 month secondment. You will maintain stock layouts, ensure accurate depot records and handle damaged stock and dates with data accuracy.

You will work in a small, close‑knit team and be responsible for updating systems, running reports, and coordinating activity across chilled, ambient, and frozen areas while complying with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor short dated stock and manage returns to supplier and stores.

£12.71 base rate plus £2.54/hr back shift allowance, £5.08-£5.40/hr weekend shift allowance and great benefits

2pm -10pm any 5 over 7 days including weekends

We’re looking for a stock support assistant to join our team in the Lea Green depot.

Working in a small and close-knit team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the product layout within the depot, making sure our depot records are always 100% accurate and that all damaged stock and dates are properly recorded. If you can bring the communication and team working skills we’re looking for, we can offer you a great opportunity with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

What you’ll do

• contribute to maintaining the integrity of the commodity-based layout within the warehouse
• update and maintain various warehouse and stock ordering systems
• review of system generated reports to ensure physical and actual stock levels remain synchronised so stock counts are maintained
• work between all areas within the warehouse (chilled, ambient and frozen)
• monitor and record short dated stock
• control the return to supplier and store return process and procedures efficiently
• monitor all aspects of Health & Safety, and rectify or report any identified risks or hazard
