Job summary

Stafforce Ports is seeking a detail-oriented Stock Controller to oversee inventory management and maintain accurate stock records on site. You will work closely with operational teams to monitor levels, coordinate movements, and support smooth site operations.

The role requires strong IT skills, particularly Excel, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate and organise effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Warehouse Administrator, or similar role
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience within the steel industry is preferred but not essential
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory reports
  • Monitor stock levels and investigate discrepancies
  • Process stock movements and update internal systems
  • Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts
  • Liaise with warehouse, production, and transport teams
  • Support goods-in and goods-out processes
  • Complete administrative duties relating to stock control
  • Produce reports using Excel and other stock management systems
  • Ensure all stock is stored and managed safely and efficiently

The Role
