Job description

Job Title: Stock Controller

The Scottish Ambulance Service Fleet Department maintains a fleet of 1,500 emergency response, scheduled care, and support vehicles across the country through 13 in-house maintenance facilities and partner services.

Position Overview

We are recruiting a Stock Controller based at our Inverness facility, where our fleet of Ambulances and specialist support vehicles in the North West are maintained. The successful candidate will be part of a team of eight maintenance staff and will report to the Fleet Maintenance Manager in Inverness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Procure, receipt, and invoice all goods required for the Fleet Maintenance Department.
  2. Manage stock purchasing, stock levels, and record keeping.
  3. Perform administrative duties related to stock management.
  4. Ensure excellent IT skills are utilized in daily tasks.
  5. Collect goods from local suppliers as needed, requiring a full UK driving license.

  • This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
