Job summary

whg is seeking a Stock Condition Surveyor for our properties in Walsall, West Midlands. You will perform detailed surveys, input data into databases, and use mobile working tech to meet the survey programme.

The role requires an HNC in Construction Management or equivalent, plus experience surveying residential/tenanted properties, with knowledge of housing standards and health and safety regulations. We offer extensive benefits and a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out stock condition surveys in residential and tenanted properties.
• Knowledge of building technology and current regulations.
• Understanding of Housing Health and Safety Rating System and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed stock condition surveys of our properties and input data into databases and systems; mobile working technology is integral.
• Achieve targets for survey completion in line with the programme; manage diary effectively.
• Be flexible to access hard-to-reach properties and work with the assets and housing management team to raise risks.
• Carry out hazard assessments under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System and ensure actions are taken.
• Identify potential damp and disrepair, environmental health issues, structural issues within whg properties.
