Job summary

Warwick District Council is seeking a Building Surveyor (Career Grade) – Stock Condition to join our Housing Assets team in Warwickshire. The role involves carrying out stock condition surveys, planning maintenance projects and overseeing contractor works to ensure safety, quality and on-budget delivery.

This permanent, site-based position offers 37 hours per week and a career-grade salary of £32,046 to £47,665 per annum, with mileage reimbursement for travel between Warwick office and sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified or experienced in building surveys and stock condition works.
• Experience managing survey findings through to works completion.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate with customers and contractors.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building and stock condition surveys.
• Undertake defect inspections and identify required works.
• Plan and manage maintenance and improvement projects.
• Oversee contractors and monitor their performance.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and within budget.
• Work closely with customers, colleagues and contractors.
