Job summary

Warwick District Council is seeking a Building Surveyor (Career Grade) – Stock Condition to join the Housing Assets team. The role is grade F-D, 37 hours per week, permanent, with a salary of £32,046 to £47,665 per annum.

The post involves carrying out stock condition surveys, planning maintenance, and supervising contractors to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery of works across Warwickshire.

Qualifications

• A relevant built-environment qualification or suitable experience in a relevant field.
• Experience of undertaking building surveys and managing the resulting works.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage projects and work effectively with customers and contractors.
• Knowledge of relevant construction health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building and stock condition surveys.
• Undertake defect inspections and identify required works.
• Plan and manage maintenance and improvement projects.
• Oversee contractors and monitor their performance.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, effectively and within budget.
• Work closely with customers, colleagues and contractors.
