Job Description:

Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Stock and Supply Chain Manager on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and managing stock holdings of finished and raw materials while managing suppliers to meet company objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain accurate stock records for finished and raw materials.
  2. Review minimum stock levels for both finished and raw materials.
  3. Ensure and validate regular physical stock checks by the warehouse team.
  4. Highlight stock rotation issues and minimize obsolete and short-dated stock.
  5. Investigate stock discrepancies and shortages to determine root causes.
  6. Manage the approved supply base to ensure on-time in-full (OTIF) availability of stock.
  7. Support periodic meetings with suppliers to ensure OTIF availability of raw materials.
  8. Lead in resolving supply chain issues.
  9. Manage supplier purchase contracts.
  10. Review material costs regularly to ensure value for money.
  11. Lead sourcing of new raw materials, services, and suppliers as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong inventory control experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills.
  • Responsible, committed, and positive attitude.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
