Responsibilities

  • Process production assemblies and works orders in ERP/WMS.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
  • Process stock adjustments and inventory transactions.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and support corrective actions.
  • Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • Produce reports on finished goods and production output.
  • Support inventory improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Prepare and issue production paperwork and factory documentation.
  • Print product and shipping labels.
  • Update production schedules and planning information.
  • Create and maintain part codes and product records.
  • Produce weekly production and operational reports.
  • Maintain document control procedures.
  • Check supplier documentation, pricing, and purchase orders.
  • Verify deliveries against POs and delivery notes.
  • Process goods receipts in the system.
  • Update warehouse and inventory records.
  • Process returned stock and investigate discrepancies.

Stock Administrator

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production & Inventory Administrator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Milton Keynes. This position plays a key role in supporting production, stock control, and warehouse administration activities while ensuring inventory accuracy and smooth day-to-day operations.

Please note: This role is best suited to candidates who have previously worked within a manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial environment. Applications from purely office-based administrative backgrounds without manufacturing experience are unlikely to be considered.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Inventory Administration
  • - Process production assemblies and completed works orders within the ERP/WMS system.
  • - Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
  • - Process authorised stock adjustments and inventory transactions.
  • - Investigate stock discrepancies and support corrective actions.
  • - Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • - Produce reports on finished goods and production output.
  • - Support inventory improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
Production Administration
  • - Prepare and issue production paperwork and factory documentation.
  • - Print product and shipping labels.

Goods-In Administration

Inventory & Warehouse Support
  • - Maintain overall stock accuracy across the warehouse.
  • - Coordinate goods collections and dispatch requirements.
  • - Update and reconcile stock counts.
  • - Support barcode scanning and inventory management improvements.
  • - Provide administration support covering goods in and goods out functions as required.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
  • - Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, engineering, assembly, or industrial environment.
  • - Experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or production administration.
  • - Strong understanding of production processes and inventory accuracy.
  • - Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • - Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • - Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • - Strong communication skills and ability to work across production, warehouse, and office teams.
Desirable
  • - Experience using ERP, MRP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
