Job summary

Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill is seeking a Stewarding Team Leader to supervise the stewarding team and uphold top hygiene and safety standards in a busy London kitchen environment.

You will manage shifts, train staff, coordinate deliveries, and work closely with chefs to ensure smooth service while maintaining company standards and sustainability practices. Prior supervisory experience in a hotel is preferred.

Qualifications

• A strong attention to detail and a positive, reliable approach to work.
• Previous experience in a Kitchen Porter or Stewarding role is required, supervisory or team leadership experience in a hotel environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the stewarding team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency across all kitchen areas.
• Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, maintaining strict hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure the smooth operation of dishwashing areas, including correct use and maintenance of equipment.
• Support the coordination of shifts, task allocation, and team productivity during service.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organising deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage practices.
• Monitor waste management and recycling processes, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Train, coach, and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations during busy service periods.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and company standards at all times.
