Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a Steward to support military personnel on a Ministry of Defence site. The role involves preparing dining areas, serving food and drinks, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation across café and dining spaces. Training is provided, and a positive, flexible approach is valued.

You will work 37.5 hours per week over 5 days out of 7, with free onsite parking available. Join a team focused on delivering a welcoming, efficient dining experience daily.

Qualifications

• No previous hospitality experience required; full training provided.
• Customer-focused and approachable.
• Reliable and flexible in a busy environment.

• Prepare café, dining and meeting areas so service runs smoothly.
• Serve food and drinks, replenish displays and stations.
• Provide friendly, professional service across café, retail and dining areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Support special events and meetings to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver efficient service and great customer experience.

What you'll do:

• Prepare café, dining and meeting areas so everything is ready for customers and service runs smoothly.
• Serve food and drinks, replenish displays and food stations, and keep everything well-presented throughout service.
• Provide friendly, professional and welcoming service to customers across the café, retail and dining areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety across workstations, equipment and customer areas.
• Support special events, meetings and functions, ensuring everything is prepared and runs smoothly.
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver an efficient service and a great customer experience.

• Bring a positive attitude and friendly approach to every shift.
• Communicate confidently and treat customers and colleagues with respect.
• No previous hospitality or food service experience is required — full training will be provided.
• Be reliable, flexible and willing to learn new skills.
• Thrive in a busy environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.
