Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an HSDU Technician to join the Hospital Sterile Services Unit in Exeter. You will decontaminate, inspect, assemble, pack, sterilise and distribute instruments and devices, ensuring safe and efficient service across the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing of surgical instruments and medical devices
• Operation of washer-disinfectors, sterilisers, and tracking systems
• Ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, quality standards, and HTM 01 01 guidance
• Maintaining accurate documentation and traceability records
• Working with colleagues to meet service demands and turnaround times
• Supporting a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
