Job summary

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking dedicated staff for Sterile Services. You will contribute to the decontamination, inspection and packing of surgical instruments, operating washers and tracking systems, and ensuring compliance with HTM 01 01 guidance.

Qualifications

• Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Works well as part of a team and communicates clearly.
• Can follow strict procedures and quality standards.
• Is comfortable working in a technical, process driven environment.
• Is willing to undertake training and development within the role.
• Previous experience in sterile services or a decontamination environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, inspection, assembly, and packing of surgical instruments and medical devices.
• Operation of washer-disinfectors, sterilisers, and tracking systems.
• Ensuring all work complies with departmental procedures, quality standards, and HTM 01 01 guidance.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and traceability records.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet service demands and turnaround times.
• Supporting a clean, safe, and well organised working environment.
