Job summary

Circle Decontamination in Radlett is inviting applications for a Bank Sterile Services Technician to join the Decontamination team. The role covers all decontamination steps for reusable surgical devices and operates on an “as and when required” basis, supplementing staffing during busy periods.

Shifts may include days and nights as required; full training is provided and Hepatitis B immunisation is required for the role.

Sterile Services Technician (Bank)
Circle Decontamination - Radlett
Bank Shifts
Salary: Up to £14.42 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required. We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in the Decontamination department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Carry out all stages of the decontamination process including cleaning, checking, assembling, packing, sterilising, and dispatching reusable surgical and medical devices.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all items meet required infection control and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all processes undertaken, including batch and load traceability data, in line with departmental documentation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective team performance and meet service deadlines.
• Participate in all mandatory training and professional development required for the role.
