Job summary

Circle Decontamination - Radlett is seeking a Sterile Services Technician on a bank basis to support the 24/7 decontamination operation. The role covers all stages of decontamination and requires flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

You will follow SOPs, maintain records, and work with colleagues to meet deadlines. Applicants should be willing to learn, have strong attention to detail, good communication, and complete mandatory training including Hepatitis B immunisation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all stages of the decontamination process including cleaning, checking, assembling, packing, sterilising, and dispatching reusable surgical and medical devices.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all items meet required infection control and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all processes undertaken, including batch and load traceability data, in line with departmental documentation requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective team performance and meet service deadlines.
• Participate in all mandatory training and professional development required for the role.

Salary: Up to £14.42 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.

We have an opportunity for a Sterile Services Technician to join their team of staff in theDecontamination department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:
