Job summary

Nuffield Health Tiverton HSSU Hub is seeking a Process Technician to sterilise and process medical instruments for surgical operations. The role is part-time (19.5 hours per week) with training provided and a supportive team environment.

You will learn the importance of sterile instruments and maintain accurate records, with emphasis on cleanliness, safety, and compliance. Basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Basic education with good literacy and numeracy.
• Evidence of sterile services training is preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process medical instruments for surgical operations.
• Learn the handling and care of sterile instruments from start to finish.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies.
• Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report faults.
• Keep the work environment clean and tidy.
• Escalate issues where necessary and work with a skilled team.
• Full training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills are vital to the role.
