Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT Certification via HSPA or CBSPD is required.
• CIS Issued by HSPA preferred.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates surgical instruments according to manufacturer's instructions or supervisor guidance.
• Inspects instruments after decontamination for cleanliness, integrity, and functionality.
• Assembles instrument trays ensuring sterility and accessibility for end users.
• Operates decontamination equipment and sterilizers; conducts daily biological monitoring tests.
• Documents load contents and tracks items using the department system; coordinates cycle parameters.
• Unloads sterilizers and stores items in correct locations; coordinates staffing as needed.
