East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting for an HSDU Sterile Services Technician to join the Sterile Services Department. You will decontaminate and reprocess reusable medical devices and instrument sets used in surgical operations.

The role involves dismantling, cleaning, reassembly and sterilization, data entry on the track & trace system, and occasional LGV driving during staff shortages. You will work under a strict Quality Management System to support theatres and ward staff.

Responsabilidades

• Decontaminate and reprocess reusable medical devices according to QMS.
• Assist in dismantling, cleaning, reassembly and sterilization of instrument sets.
• Input data to the track and trace system and generate checklists, labels and delivery notes.
• Occasionally drive a Light Goods Vehicle (LGV) during shortages or emergencies.
• Ensure correct stock rotation and delivery to wards and theatres.
