Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in England is seeking a Sterile Services Technician to join the One LSC collaboration. The role focuses on decontamination and reprocessing of reusable medical devices, preparing instrument sets for theatre use, and ensuring strict traceability.

You will work under a Quality Management System, maintain accurate records in the tracking system, rotate stock to prevent expiry, and may drive a Light Goods Vehicle during staff shortages or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate reusable medical devices according to process and quality standards.
• Dismantle, clean, reassemble and check instrument sets prior to sterilization.
• Input data into track & trace system and ensure correct stock rotation.
• Assist with occasional LGV driving for deliveries or pickups when required.
