Job summary

Cheshire East Council is recruiting Step-Forward Foster Carers to welcome a child or sibling group into your home, providing stability, routine and the trusted care they need during this important stage of their lives.

You will be supported with specialist training, supervision and access to local foster teams, and you can expect an annual salary of £52,000 (£1,000 per week per child) plus per-child allowances and celebrations.

Qualifications

• Aged 21 or over
• LegalRight to Work in the United Kingdom
• Full-time care for a child in home
• Spare bedroom available for fostering
• Experience with children/young people with complex needs (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care
• Provide stability, routine and reassurance in a nurturing home
• Support emotional, behavioural and social development of the child
• Work closely with social workers, therapists and other professionals
• Maintain clear records and provide therapeutic, relationship-based care
• Facilitate Family Time to maintain family relationships
