Job summary

Study Group is seeking a capable academic leader to coordinate the Cardiff International Study Centre’s science, engineering and computing pathways. You will work under the Head of STEM to guide academic staff, ensure progression targets, and oversee quality assurance in collaboration with the partner university.

You will lead programme development, resource planning and timetable delivery, contributing to curriculum quality, student outcomes, and successful engagement with Cardiff University

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
• Experience of providing feedback to another person about their performance, which achieved a positive improvement.
• Experience of HR duties, such as delivering training and taking part in the recruitment process.
• Ability to delegate activities, set deadlines and oversee completion to meet challenging deadlines.
• Experience of internal communication, disseminating complex messages or changes to operations.
• Experience of working with international students and understanding welfare, well-being and cultural issues.
• Experience of data management and interpretation, and quality assurance.
• Experience of working across, up and down an organisation as well as with external partners and both national and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient academic management and coordination of staff resources across the academic and progression support teams.
• Ensure recruitment of academic staff is planned, timely and compliant.
• Lead on quality assurance and enhancement for the Centre and ensure compliance with QA frameworks.
• Deliver curriculum coordination, timetabling, and assessment schedules with a collaborative Centre Leadership Team.
• Oversee relationship management with Cardiff University and other partners to support progression targets.
