Job summary

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) is seeking two Steel Erectors for a contract-based role at Buxton Cement in Derbyshire. The assignment starts on 2 November and runs through February 2027, with rate pay of £24.00 per hour for weekdays and £28.00 per hour for weekends.

Responsibilities include erecting, aligning and securing steel structures per drawings and site specs. The role requires previous Steel Erector experience, NVQ Level 3 in Capital Plant Steel Structures, and an MP Connect

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Capital Plant Steel Structures required.
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings.
• Experience on industrial or heavy engineering sites desirable.
• MP Connect Card holder preferred.

• Erect, install and position structural steelwork in accordance with engineering drawings and site specifications.
• Assist with the assembly, alignment and securing of steel structures and components.
• Work alongside other trades and site personnel to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Follow site health and safety procedures and comply with all relevant safety requirements.
• Use tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and within agreed timescales.

We are looking for 2 Steel Erectors for a contract based on Buxton Cement in Derbyshire

This is to start on the 2nd November and run until February 2027

Rate of pay is:

• £24.00 per hour (All hours Monday to Friday)
• £28.00 per hour (All hours Weekends)

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Steel Erector.
• NVQ Level 3 in Capital Plant Steel Structures would be expected.
• Must hold a valid MP Connect Card.
• Experience working on industrial or heavy engineering sites is desirable.
• Ability to follow engineering drawings, instructions and site procedures.
• Good awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
