Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking an experienced Steam & Industrial Air Field Engineer for the Gloucester area to deliver rental boiler packages across the UK & Ireland. You will work with the project team from site surveys through to aftercare, ensuring high standards of service.

The role involves design contributions, commissioning, servicing and fault diagnosis, with a focus on steam boiler systems and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Prior project engineering experience, preferably in steam boilers.
• Qualified mechanical or electrical discipline (recognised qualification).
• Experience commissioning steam boilers preferred.
• Knowledge of Weishaupt & Driezler burners is advantageous.
• Strong HSE track record required.
• Experience with pipework, hosework and associated ancillaries.
• Ability to read P&ID and electrical schematics.
• Clear communication and information exchange is essential.
• Able to persuade and influence others to achieve results.
• Maintain organisation and ethical standards in all activities.
• Broad engineering knowledge across multiple subjects.
• Knowledge of PSSR2000 & PED statutes and piping standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys to determine technical requirements for rental solutions.
• Contribute to the design phase of projects.
• Perform commissioning activities before customer handover.
• Carry out service checks and attend breakdowns as needed.
• Manage PSSR2000 inspections in collaboration with the competent body.
• Maintain regular customer contact to ensure high service levels.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during tendering.
• Collaborate with Atlas Copco colleagues to promote products and services.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance on compressed air equipment and related products.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across equipment.

Job description

The Steam & Industrial Air Field Engineer will be working with the project team to deliver rental boiler packages across UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project execution from initial site survey, all the way through to aftercare.

You will

• Carry out site surveys to ascertain technical requirements of any potential rental solution.
• Contribute to the design phase of the project.
• Carry out the commissioning activities prior to customer handover.
• Carry out service checks & attend breakdowns if required.
• The efficient management of PSSR2000 inspections, working closely with our chosen competent body.
• Maintain regular customer contact to establish requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during the tendering phase.
• To work alongside and collaborate with other Atlas Copco business colleagues to effectively promote Atlas Copco products and services.
• Carry out servicing and maintenance on varied compressed air equipmentand associated products.
• Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on a varied range of compressedair equipment and associated products.
