Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Steam Boiler Engineer to join a leading facilities management contractor in the UK. You will deliver both planned and reactive FM maintenance services across steam boiler plant and CHP operations.

The role requires demonstrable steam boiler experience, BOAS D6A preferred, BMS knowledge, asbestos awareness, and a full UK driving licence. It offers diverse daily responsibilities and long-term career progression within a major contractor.

Qualifications

• Demonstratable evidence of technical qualifications in the relevant field (Preferably BOAS D6A).
• Evidence of previous experience working on Steam generating boiler plant.
• Knowledge of working on BMS systems; space entry and escape trained.
• Asbestos Awareness.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for all critical operational equipment required for steam generating operations on behalf of utilities infrastructure.
• Carry out daily operational checks of the CHP plant and record required information; complete Planned, Preventive Maintenance tasks on the CHP steam generation plant.
• Provide a comprehensive engineering service to the Site.
• Carry out isolations to Company standards to enable the safe disconnection of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• To check, test, set and adjust mechanical equipment to the levels to their proven competence and electrical resets where applicable.
