Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for a BOAS Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Leeds. Location: Leeds. Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 DOE.

Applicants should have BOAS or relevant boiler experience, with ideally 6+ months in a boiler role, and a good understanding of steam systems and health and safety procedures. Salary £32,000–£38,000 DOE, Monday to Friday, days only.

Qualifications

• 6+ months' experience with steam boilers.
• BOAS qualification or relevant boiler experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments advantageous.
• Knowledge of steam systems and boiler operation.
• PH testing experience bonus.
• Strong health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Look after and maintain steam boilers across the site.
• Carry out routine boiler checks, inspections and maintenance.
• Monitor boiler performance and identify faults.
• Support breakdowns and ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Complete relevant maintenance and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and maintenance team.
• Ensure all work follows site health & safety procedures.

Location: Leeds

Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm or 7:00am–4:00pm

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with experience working with steam boilers who is looking to develop their skills within a well-established manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Looking after and maintaining steam boilers across the manufacturing site
• Carrying out routine boiler checks, inspections and maintenance
• Monitoring boiler performance and identifying potential faults
• Supporting breakdowns and ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Completing relevant maintenance and compliance documentation
• Working closely with the wider engineering and maintenance team
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with site health & safety procedures

The Person

• Ideally 6+ months' experience working with steam boilers
• BOAS qualification or relevant boiler experience
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment would be beneficial
• Knowledge of steam systems and boiler operation
• pH testing experience would be a bonus
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
