Job summary

South Wales Police is seeking a Statutory Review Manager within the Safeguarding and Public Protection command. Based in Kingsway, Bridgend, the role offers flexible working and a core 8am-4pm window, focused on protecting vulnerable people and providing expert escalation guidance.

You will advise on complex cases, resolve issues independently, and engage with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality service across multi‑agency settings. MV/SC vetting is required for appointment.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience of working in a multi-agency environment involving domestic abuse and adult or child protection procedures.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and identify learning.
  • Understanding of legislation relating to criminal investigations for protecting vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance on escalated, varied and complex issues relating to area of work.
  • Resolve complex problems independently, referring major issues to senior colleagues.
  • Engage with internal and external customers at all levels to deliver high-quality service.

About the team/Department you will be joining:

You will be joining the Strategic team within Safeguarding and Public Protection.

The team is based in Kingsway, Bridgend, with flexible working.

Hours are normally between 8am and 4pm.

About the role and your key responsibilities :
  • Provide advice and guidance on escalated, varied and complex issues relating to area of work.
  • Resolve complex problems independently, referring major issues to senior colleagues.
  • Individuals are required to effectively engage with internal and external customers at all levels, in order to provide a high-quality standard of service.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
  • Must have experience of working in a multi-agency environment involving domestic abuse and adult or child protection procedures.
  • Must have the ability to analyse complex information and identify learning.
  • Must have an understanding of legislation with regards to criminal investigations in respect of Protecting Vulnerable People.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
