Job summary

South Wales Police seeks a Project Manager for a temporary post to 31 March 2027, based at Kingsway, Bridgend, working Monday to Friday 8am–4pm with some flexibility. You will lead Op Beaconport, a national inquiry into Group-Based Child Sexual Exploitation, delivering the project within scope, time and budget.

The role requires strong proficiency with Microsoft applications, ability to produce high quality reports, strategic PM knowledge, and willingness to undergo MV/SC Vetting.

Qualifications

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must be able to produce high quality written reports.
  • Must display a strategic awareness and understanding of Project Management processes.
  • The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo MV/SC Vetting.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and manage the day-to-day delivery of Op Beaconport.
  • Plan, execute and deliver the project within the agreed scope, timelines and budget.
  • Identify risks, measure impact and provide advice on findings.

About the team/Department you will be joining:

We are based in the Kingsway, Bridgend and work Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm, with some flexibility.

This is a temporary role, project managing Op Beaconport, which is a national inquiry into Group-Based Child Sexual Exploitation.

About the role and your key responsibilities :

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.

  • Must display a strategic awareness and understanding of Project Management processes.
  • The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
