Job summary

South Wales Police in Bridgend is seeking a Welsh-speaking Estates receptionist to join the Estates & Facilities Department. The post covers reception and administration with 37 hours per week and occasional home working.

You will support the Customer Services Manager, manage administrative processes within all functional areas of Estates & Facilities, including basic financial transactions, mail collection and distribution.

Qualifications

  • Welsh language ability at conversational level.

Responsibilities

About the team/Department you will be joining:

Located at our Police Headquarters, BRIDGEND . South Wales Police have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a full time Estates Welsh speaking Receptionist on a permanent basis. The Estates receptionist will cover reception when needed and undertake all administration duties, adding to our already strong Administration team within Estates. The successful candidate will assist the Customer Services Manager and manage administrative processes within all functional areas of the Estates & Facilities Department including processing financial transactions, mail collection and distribution.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

The post holder would be working within an office environment 37 hours a week, Monday -Friday. This is a flexible working position that in time, will allow some degree of working flexibly.

We mainly work either from HQ Bridgend or on occasions from home.

Must hold a current valid full UK driving licence.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a reception / customer service background. We are keen to hear from you if you are highly competent in Microsoft systems and have previous administrative experience or skills. It is essential that you can speak Welsh to a conversational level

You must be able to work well with others, as part of a team and be adaptable to change.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
