Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a skilled Static Maintenance Plumber for a key site in Morpeth. You will maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems across the site, and provide general multi-skilled mechanical and building fabric maintenance.

This role offers stable, site-based daytime hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM) with an on-call rota and opportunities for professional development in HVAC and mechanical trades.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent relevant qualification).
• Proven experience in a commercial or industrial building maintenance role.
• Strong diagnostic skills across plumbing, mechanical systems, and building fabric repair.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an on-site team.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing Maintenance & Repair: Install, inspect, and maintain plumbing networks, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and drainage systems.
• Emergency Response: Efficiently diagnose and resolve urgent issues such as leaks, clogs, and burst pipes.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine servicing on water heaters, boilers, and associated mechanical equipment.
• Building Fabric Upkeep: Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance to building surfaces, including walls, floors, and ceilings.
• System Inspections: Conduct regular preventative checks across the facilities to identify and resolve potential issues early.

About the Role

Qualifications & Experience

Desirable:

• City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC certifications, or multi‑skilled mechanical qualifications.

• Prior experience handling emergency call‑outs and preventative maintenance schedules.
