Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Static Mechanical Engineer to join a forward-looking facilities management team in the UK. The role covers planned and reactive FM maintenance across plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

You will identify defects, report accurately, and maintain safety and compliance while delivering high customer service and building strong client relationships. A City & Guilds mechanical qualification and solid H&S knowledge are required, with IT/reporting

Qualifications

• Experience working in maintenance or facilities management environments.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Comfortable using IT systems and mobile devices for reporting and workflows.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, and water assets.
• Identify and report defects, ensuring inspection reports and logs are completed accurately and on time.
• Respond to client queries and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety regulations, Permit to Work and safe systems of work.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
