Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Static Site Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management contractor. You will deliver both planned and reactive FM maintenance services, focusing on water assets and compliance.

The ideal candidate has experience in maintenance or FM environments, City & Guilds Level 2/3, strong Health & Safety knowledge, and good IT/reporting skills, with a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or facilities management environments.
• City & Guilds Level 2/3 in mechanical qualifications.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Proficient with IT systems and mobile devices for reporting and workflows.
• Strong communication skills with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
• Manage water assets (booster sets, calorifiers, water heaters).
• Identify and report defects with documentation and remedial logs.
• Respond to client queries with high standard of customer service.
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety regulations and Permit to Work.
• Build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
