Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and support students and teachers.

You will work with classroom teachers to provide essential support across varied year groups, assisting with activities, one-on-one support, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role preferred.

Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working in partnership with WAVE Trust.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and provide valuable support to our students and teachers.

As a teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to provide essential support to students across various age groups and abilities.

Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities, including setting up resources and materials.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance with their learning.
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations.
• Help to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other support professionals to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
