Standalone HR Lead: Build People, Policy & Talent

Job summary

Dizplai in Manchester is hiring a standalone HR professional who will own people operations with real autonomy and impact. Reporting to the Fractional Chief People Officer, you’ll shape hiring, onboarding, performance, and culture as we scale from 40 to 100+ people.

You’ll partner with the leadership team, manage recruitment end-to-end, and ensure pragmatic, commercially aware HR policies that support our growth and keep the employee experience human and engaging.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience, preferably in startup/scale-up media or tech.
• Comfort with ER, policy, onboarding and recruitment without specialist help.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and pragmatic application.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to for people matters and provide pragmatic, commercial guidance.
• Own the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Lead recruitment with hiring managers and act as first point of contact for candidates.
• Manage HRIS and ensure timely performance and feedback cycles.
• Help build scalable processes, frameworks and culture as the company grows.
• Coach managers to improve their people-management skills.
