Job summary

NEVER.NO UK LTD in Manchester is seeking an experienced HR Manager to build a people function that scales with a growing business. You will report to the Fractional Chief People Officer and partner with the leadership team to shape hiring, onboarding and people development.

You’ll own recruitment end-to-end, work directly with managers, and provide pragmatic, commercial HR advice that balances business needs with a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Manager or HR Business Partner at scale-up or startup.
• Generalist HR skills: ER, culture, policy, onboarding and recruitment.
• Experience leading an standalone HR function.
• Hands-on recruitment experience and candidate handling.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law with pragmatic application.
• CIPD qualification at Level 5 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to for people matters and provide pragmatic HR advice.
• Own the employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance, development and offboarding.
• Lead recruitment with hiring managers and manage searches.
• Proactively manage HRIS and performance/feedback cycles.
• Build scalable processes, frameworks and culture as the team grows.
• Coach managers to improve people leadership.
