Job summary

Arm Cambridge is seeking an experienced software engineer and technical leader to own the delivery of an embedded Linux distribution for Arm hardware AI devices. You will manage the team, define plans, and drive delivery from architects to project managers, shaping the Linux configuration and device trees.

You will lead a team of five engineers, oversee integration of kernel, drivers and userspace, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployments in diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small engineering team and coordinating with other teams.
• Expertise in integrating, configuring, building and testing Linux-based systems using Yocto/Buildroot/Bazel/Blaze.
• Good understanding of upstream contribution processes for open-source projects.
• Experience in leading and developing other engineers.
• Effective communicator and ability to collaborate well within and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of five engineers.
• Integrate, configure, build and test system software into a complete Linux distribution (kernel, drivers, userspace).
• Analyse and improve performance of system software.
• Bring up software on virtual platforms, FPGA and hardware environments.
