Job summary

Arm in Cambridge is seeking an experienced software engineer and technical leader to own the implementation and delivery of an embedded Linux distribution for AI-oriented Arm hardware. You will manage a team of five engineers, drive kernel, drivers, and userspace, coordinate with architects and PMs, and guide hiring and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and delivering work for a small engineering team.
• Expertise in integrating, configuring, building and testing Linux-based systems using Yocto, Buildroot, Bazel or Blaze.
• Good understanding of upstream contribution processes for open-source projects.
• Experience in leading and developing other engineers.
• Effective communicator and ability to collaborate well within and across teams.

Responsibilities

• Leading a high-performing team of five engineers.
• Integrating, configuring, building and testing system software into a complete Linux distribution, including the kernel, drivers and userspace components.
• Analysing and improving performance of system software.
• Bring up of software on virtual platforms, FPGA and hardware environments.
