Job summary

Hiya seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to lead security maturation across engineering. You will design platform-based security tools and enable secure software delivery with velocity, partnering with Core Tech, Product, and leadership.

You’ll balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution, promoting a platform mindset and educating teams to run secure apps. This role emphasizes collaboration and ongoing improvement in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native architectures (prefer AWS).
• Experience designing self-service platforms for developers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-quarter security roadmap for the engineering org.
• Develop and maintain platform-level security tools enabling automated security for feature teams.
• Integrate security primitives into CI/CD and cloud workflows with Core Tech.
• Assess current security posture and identify high-risk technical debt across teams.
• Mentor engineers and promote a run-it, own-it security culture.
• Monitor evolving threats including supply chain risks and AI infrastructure.
• Mature detection, SIEM and incident-response tooling as part of the security platform.
