Job summary

IonQ, Inc. in Oxford is seeking a hands-on Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality across the supply chain for our next-gen quantum computers.

You will own supplier quality from selection through qualification and ongoing performance, partnering with Strategic Sourcing and Engineering to audit and qualify suppliers. This role requires eight+ years in supplier quality in manufacturing, with AS9100/ISO knowledge, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Eight years+ supplier quality, manufacturing or related experience.
• Experience with quality systems and supplier qualification.
• Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality from selection through ongoing performance.
• Audit potential suppliers with Strategic Sourcing and Engineering.
• Own incoming material inspection, first article inspection and source release decisions.
• Define qualification and inspection for novel components.
• Be the supplier quality voice in governance and at review boards.
• Lead KPI setting and management review for supplier quality.
• Ensure ECJU, UK Dual-Use, DEFCON and Cyber Essentials compliance in suppliers.
