Job summary

IonQ is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the Reliability Engineering team in Oxford. You will own root-cause analysis and permanent fixes for electronics and control hardware on our operational quantum computers, aiming to improve fleet uptime and reduce operating costs across development and production systems.

Qualifications

• Strong analogue and mixed-signal electronics design experience.
• Experience with Altium PCB toolset and design control.
• Ability to debug power, analogue and control electronics.
• Experience deploying fixes on live hardware with safety.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Root-cause, design, prototype, test electrical fixes for live quantum systems.
• Drive system upgrades and standardization across fleet.
• Coordinate retrofits and deployments onto live hardware with minimal downtime.
• Document fixes and update engineering docs, build manifests, and ECR processes.
